Patrick holds a Master's degree from Mt. St. Joseph in Secondary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. Patrick worked for the past 20 years in all aspects of the construction industry as well as owned his own company. His specific focus was rough and finish carpentry which has led to his current interests in function, scale and craftsmanship in both his own work and his students' work.
Currently, Patrick works as a Maker Artist and a regular Substitute Teacher in the Wyoming and Lockland School Districts. As an artist, he focuses on found, functional sculpture. He loves to explore new mediums and techniques. Patrick attempts to use unique materials with unusual and surprising methods. In particular, he enjoys repurposing historic pieces that would otherwise be lost to history. Patrick states, "To blend my energy with that of the original craftsman's is to honor (him/her) and the piece."
