Private Instrument Lessons

Ages 9 - Adult

$220 for non-members per 8-week session
$198 for members per 8-week session

ArtsConnect offers private instrument lessons to help improve and increase your school band skills. Also appropriate for adults that always wanted to learn to play an instrument. Classes are Opportunities to play with a band or ensemble are also available. 

Instruments taught:

Flute, Trumpet, Clarinet, French Horn, Alto Saxophone, Trombone, and Snare Drum.  Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced lessons are offered for French Horn 

ArtsConnects’ top priority is the health and safety of our students and staff.  There will be a large plastic partition in-between the student and instructor and they will be seated 6 ft apart.  For those not ready to do in-person lessons yet, we also offer online Zoom lessons.  Participants will need to download the free program - Zoom onto their computer or Ipad prior to the first class.  Participants will receive an invitation link with specific instructions on how to join each class.

When registering you need to select in-person or online. You may change this at any time during the session.


The 30-minute scheduled Private Instrumental lessons are held on Mondays - Wednesdays between 2:00 - 7:00.  Call Lisa Zupon 513-728-4266 to select your private 30-minute lesson time. 

Session 6 will be only 7 weeks. The fee has been adjusted.  No classes week of Thanksgiving.

Instructor:  Dianne Schreck

Dianne holds a B.S. in Music and Social Studies, a M.Ed. in Secondary Education, and an Associate Degree in Computer Programming. She began teaching general music in Winton Woods, worked as a computer based trainer, and returned to teaching instrumental music in the 90's.  She was employed by The Music Staff, an organization that provides band teachers for Catholic Schools. With over 20 years of experience leading grade school and junior high bands, she became the band director for many Cincinnati based Parochial Schools.  Dianne worked for 20 years through 2018 and currently continues as the band director at St Boniface School. Dianne’s major instrument is the French horn and Trumpet for marching band.

  1. Class Cancellations & Weather Closings

    Don't wait to register! Classes may be cancelled to low registration or fill up before you have a chance to register.

    Class cancellations due to weather will be made one hour prior to class start times and will be listed on the homepage of the ArtsConnect website at www.theartsconnect.us. To verify any weather closings, call 513-522-2108. In most instances, classes cancelled by weather will be made up by adding an additional class to the end of the session.

    Due to costs incurred planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the ArtsConnect cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student or transfer to a new session.  View the full class refund policy here.
