Workshops For Kids and Family


Discover Magic is a performance-based program that teaches valuable social skills, all while having fun! Kids learn magic tricks and how to perform in front of an audience. Students will receive some magics props as part of the workshop fee. Kids Sewing - Valentine's Day Decor, Ages 8 - 14 Kids will sew various decorations for their room or give them as a gift. The decor will be Valentine's themed. Some previous sewing machine experience is helpful. All supplies included. Double the Fun Family Culinary - Valentine's Day Cake Decorating, All Ages Looking for something special to do for Valentine's Day with the family? This workshop would be perfect. This class is for a parent and child/ren. Families will learn to decorate a small cake using Valentine's decorations. * The $45 fee is for a parent and one child. Additional child/ren is a $10 fee. ^{Bucket Drumming, Ages 7 - 15} You’ve got the beat! Students learn the basics of drumming, sequential beats and rhythm patterns using drumsticks and buckets. This group class is sure to excite and entertain! ^{Hand-build an Easter Basket, Ages 7 - 13} Kids will make a clay basket by pinching and rolling the clay. Paint the wet clay with glaze and then pick it up in a few weeks once it has been fired. Baskets can be used for Easter decorations or for other things. All supplies included. ^{Bisque Ceramic Bunny Painting, Ages 7 - 13} Kids will paint a bisque-fired ceramic bunny using colored glaze. Pick up your finished pottery in a few weeks. All supplies are included. ^{Double the Fun Family Pottery - Mother's Day Flower Pot, All Ages} Looking for something special to do for Mother's Day? This workshop would be perfect. Mom and child/ren will each sculpt a clay flowerpot. Then paint glaze on the wet clay. Class Cancellations & Weather Closings

Class cancellations due to weather will be made one hour prior to class start times and will be listed on the homepage of the ArtsConnect website at www.theartsconnect.us. To verify any weather closings, call 513-522-2108. In most instances, classes cancelled by weather will be made up by adding an additional class to the end of the session.

Due to costs incurred planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the ArtsConnect cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student or transfer to a new session.
