Blacksmithing Classes and Workshops
Do you enjoy watching 'Forged in Fire' and always thought how fun it would be to try it? Now's your chance! Learn the ancient technique of blacksmithing. Participants will learn to forge by heating metal in a small forge then shaping it on an anvil. Finish off your forged piece in various ways.

Students will learn the basics of enameling. Cut, saw, and prepare metal, then apply enamel. Embellish your work by adding Cloisonne or Champleve techniques. Make jewelry and decorative art pieces.

Learn to cut, form and texturize metal. Embellish your jewelry using various techniques such as, crushed stone inlay. Learn to jin metal using a cold press method. All supplies included.

Woodshop Classes and Workshops
ArtsConnect offers numerous woodshop classes in our newly renovated woodshop. Learn to use various equipment properly and efficiently. The Intro class uses a wide-range of equipment while learning to work safely. Once you have learned the basics, then take our Advanced class to learn more difficult techniques. 2-week Workshops give a sampling of how to use individual pieces of equipment.

Picture Framing
Do you have a piece of artwork that you would like to protect or save? Using the proper picture framing techniques is the best protection you can give to your artwork. Learn the basics of frame design, the history of framing, and the importance of framing your artwork in this class. Participants will learn how to choose the right moulding, cut the moulding, and cut the mats and the glass as well.
