Learn how to make your own jewelry. Be proud to wear it, or give it as a gift. Students will design and create their own unique jewelry pieces. They will learn how to cut, form and texturize brass, silver, and copper metal. Pieces will be joined with rivets and soldering. Students will also learn how to inlay crushed stone. This class is suited for those with or without experience. All supplies included.
The instructor is Karen Gasik, who has taught for over 30 years. Most recently at Wyoming High. She will go through step-by-step instructions teaching the entire jewelry-making process.
Classes are held on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at ArtsConnect Arts Center, 9158 Winton Road, the building behind the Springfield Township Fire Station.
No class on Jan 23 due to the instructor being out of town. Session will end 1 week later than other classes.
