Kids Hand-building Pottery

Ages 8 - 13, Wednesdays, 4:15 - 5:45 p.m.   

$80 for non-members per 6-week session
$72 for members per 6-week session


Students will learn a variety of hand-building techniques to create beautiful, themed works of art. They will learn how to make pinch opts, and sculptures using the pinch and pull method.  Learn to roll coils and make slabs and clay constructions.  Finish your clay pieces with colorful glazes. Clay pieces will then be fired to make shiny sculptures to treasure forever.

Kids Hand-building Pottery Workshops

ArtsConnect offers one-day hand-building pottery workshops for kids. Pottery will be glazed and fired. Pick up your finished pottery in a few weeks.  All supplies are included.

Pottery Painting on Bisque Ware

Students will receive a clay piece that has been fired once, bisque ware.  They will paint the premade clay piece using a selection of colored glazes.  Clay pieces will be fired, then pick it up in a few weeks.

Double-the-Fun Family Pottery Workshops

All Ages, Parent and Child

Class Cancellations & Weather Closings

A minimum of four students must be enrolled for the session prior to the stated deadline for the class to take place (maximum 12 students). The Springfield Township Senior and Community Arts Center follows Finneytown School District inclement weather closings. To verify closings, call 513-522-2108. 

Due to costs incurred in planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the Arts Council cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student. Refunds will be made by check, not to a credit card. To notify us of a cancellation, please send an email to artsinfo@springfieldtwp.org.
