ArtsConnect offers private instrument lessons to help improve and increase your school band skills. Also appropriate for adults that have always wanted to learn to play an instrument. Opportunities to play with a band or ensemble are also available. Students will perform for family and friends in several music recitals held at ArtsConnect arts center to show off the results of their hard work. 

Instruments taught:

Flute, Trumpet, Clarinet, French Horn, Alto Saxophone, Trombone, and Snare Drum.  Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced lessons are offered for French Horn 

Private Instrumental lessons are held on an instructor & parent designated day and time. Call Lisa Zupon 513-728-4266 to select your private 8-week, 30-minute lesson time.  In-person classes are held at ArtsConnect Springfield Township Community Arts Center, 9158 Winton Rd, Building A, behind the fire station.

Class Cancellations & Weather Closings

A minimum of four students must be enrolled for the session prior to the stated deadline for the class to take place (maximum 12 students). The Springfield Township Senior and Community Arts Center follows Finneytown School District inclement weather closings. To verify closings, call 513-522-2108. 

Due to costs incurred in planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the Arts Council cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student. Refunds will be made by check, not to a credit card. To notify us of a cancellation, please send an email to artsinfo@springfieldtwp.org.

Instructor:  Dianne Schreck

Dianne holds a B.S. in Music and Social Studies, a M.Ed. in Secondary Education, and an Associate Degree in Computer Programming. She began teaching general music in Winton Woods, worked as a computer based trainer, and returned to teaching instrumental music in the 90's.  She was employed by The Music Staff, an organization that provides band teachers for Catholic Schools. With over 20 years of experience leading grade school and junior high bands, she became the band director for many Cincinnati based Parochial Schools.  Dianne worked for 20 years through 2018 and currently continues as the band director at St Boniface School. Dianne’s major instrument is the French horn and Trumpet for marching band.
