ABOUT ARTSCONNECT -
ArtsConnect generates exciting community events and unique art experiences through classroom instruction, camps, hands-on workshops and public art installations. In partnership with Springfield Township, ArtsConnect operates the township’s community arts center, where programs in pottery, drawing, painting, woodworking, ceramics, blacksmithing, music instruction and so much more take place. ArtsConnect signature community events include outdoor concerts, puppet shows, art shows, dances, theater productions and an Artisan Fair.
We offer an 8 week, full-day summer art camp program for kids that is accredited by the American Camp Association. We are now accepting applications for two assistant counselors and one lead counselor.
*There is a possibility ArtsConnect may partner with a local school to extend camp to serve a need. If you are interested in becoming a counselor through September, please let us know.

Camp KId Ages:7 - 13
Camp Hours:9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
8:25 a.m. - 4:25 p.m.
Summer Counselor Hours:
20 children maximum; 1 lead and 2 assistants will be hired
The camp takes place at the Springfield Township Community Arts Center, 9158 Winton Road, Building A, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
Lead Camp Counselor Job Description
Lead Camp Counselor Application (Must be accompanied by a professional resume)
1 Lead Counselor will be hired, $15 per hour
Lead Counselor writes all lesson plans and community using the themes put in place by the Education Director.
The Lead Counselor will begin Mid-March through May 20 writing lesson plans and prepping for camp 10-16 hours a week. They will then work 40 hours a week through August 5th. The Lead Counselor position may qualify as a Co-op for college credit.

2 Assistant Counselors, $13 per hour
Ages 18 and over
Campers will be required to pack a lunch, a snack, and a refillable water bottle for each day. Counselors are asked to pack their lunches and snacks, as well. *No peanuts.
Type of Employment: These are full and part-time hourly positions that are not exempt from the overtime requirements of the FLSA. These positions are seasonal and do not entitle counselors to unemployment compensation or benefits upon completion of each camp season. ArtsConnect employees are not employees of Springfield Township and do not participate in OPERS retirement. Minorities are encouraged to apply. ArtsConnect is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
ArtsConnect Kids Camp Counselor Application and Selection Process: Lead Counselor applicants must submit a resume and a Lead Counselor Application to Lisa Zupon at firstname.lastname@example.org. Assistant counselors must complete a camp counselor application which includes three professional references. Applications should be emailed to Lisa Zupon a email@example.com. ArtsConnect will review the applications resumes and will evaluate on the basis of their experience, credentials, references and background information.
Interviews will be conducted with the camp counselors deemed qualified by ArtsConnect. Final selection of counselors shall be at the sole discretion of ArtsConnect. All counselors working with children must complete and pass a background check.
