Discover the joys of painting with acrylics. No other medium can match the versatility and ease of use of acrylics. Clean-up is easy and no toxic materials are required. Acrylics are well suited to almost any subject matter and painting surface. Students can work from still-life or photographs.

Please note you do not need to buy all of these supplies. They are just suggestions. At a minimum students should have a basic set of acrylics, various sizes of bushes, a pallet, and something to paint on. Canvas paper is fine.

Classes are held at ArtsConnect Arts Center, 9158 Winton Road, the building behind the Springfield Township Fire Station.

Meet Your Instructor: Greg Albert

Greg Albert is a professional artist with more than 40 years of teaching experience, most recently in the Continuing Education Program at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Greg is a graduate of the Art Academy and holds a BFA, MFA, and MA in art history. He is the author of two art instruction books: Drawing You Can Do It and The Simple Secret of Better Painting. Greg teaches drawing and painting in oils, acrylics and watercolor has presented workshops on perspective, pictorial composition, color theory, creativity, and other topics. Greg has a knack for making complex concepts memorable and is known for his entertaining and effective teaching style.

Class Cancellations & Weather Closings

Don't wait to register! Classes may be cancelled to low registration or fill up before you have a chance to register.

Class cancellations due to weather will be made one hour prior to class start times and will be listed on the homepage of the ArtsConnect website at www.theartsconnect.us. To verify any weather closings, call 513-522-2108. In most instances, classes cancelled by weather will be made up by adding an additional class to the end of the session.

Due to costs incurred planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the ArtsConnect cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student or transfer to a new session.
