POTTERY WHEEL CLASSES
POTTERY CLASSES RESUME JANUARY 2024
We look forward to seeing you back at the arts center for all your pottery classes in January! Meanwhile, we hope to see you at one of our many community events and our grand re-opening. Stay tuned for news updates!
ArtsConnect offers several pottery classes. New to clay? Learn the basics of both hand-building and the pottery wheel in this 7-week introductory class, Intro to Clay.
Intro to Wheel, teaches participants the basics of throwing clay on a pottery wheel. Students will learn important pottery studio rules and procedures used in all of our pottery classes. Intro to Wheel class is mandatory for those wanting to buy a pottery studio pass to use the studio during open times. Check out more information about pottery studio passes here: https://www.theartsconnect.us/222/Memberships
Once students have mastered the basic skills of the wheel they may then move onto our more challenging class, Intermediate Wheel. In this class students will strengthen their pottery skills and learn more advanced techniques.
The cost of each pottery class includes all supplies. Supplies provided are: 25 lb white clay, glazes, all the firing needed, and the use of our clay tools. More clay is available upon purchase, although each student is guaranteed 25 lb of clay.
Each session lasts for six weeks allowing basic skills to build over time. These classes are ideal for beginners, as well as more advanced students. The cost is $155 for non-members and $139.50 for members. Fee includes all supplies.
