POP-UP VALENTINES DATE NIGHT:

POTTERY PAINTING AT YOUR OWN PACE!

Ages 21 and up

Friday, February 13th, drop in (with registration Prior) anytime between 6:30-9:30pm.

$50 non-members per couple / $45 members per couple

Register in advance and choose between two project options upon arrival: a large heart platter paired with a small heart bowl to create a matching chip-and-dip set, OR two small heart bowls. Participants are welcome to arrive anytime between 6:30–8:30 PM and paint at their own pace during the evening until 9:30pm.

A cash bar with festive drinks will be available for purchase to make your night out even more enjoyable. Once completed, pottery pieces will remain at ArtsConnect for glazing and kiln firing and will be ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the event.

Try out the pottery wheel with a companion! Have a creative date night learning the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel. Participants will receive step-by-step instructions. No experience necessary. Select your best pieces and desired glaze then instructor will paint and fire. Pick up your pottery at a later date. The workshop fee of $90 covers class instruction for two people, use of pottery wheels, clay, glaze and firing.

Blacksmith Workshop for Couples

Fireside Fridays (1-day)

Ages 18 and over

$150 non-member (per couple)

Couples work together to forge their choice of several lovely items; decorative centerpieces, chain of hearts, bottle openers and more. Couples will forge the entire length of the class and should leave with multiple items. All supplies included.

Fee is for 2 people so bring a date, family member or bestie!

After your finished blacksmithing your items then relax around our firepits. Purchase at beer or glass of wine and reflect about your smithing experience.

Classes are held in our new outdoor blacksmithing studio. Proper attire in Blacksmithing classes are important to your safety. Please wear close toed shoes and 100% cotton clothing. Proper gloves and tools will be provided for class use. A water bottle is also a good idea.

Make It, Take It Projects

3rd Wednesday of the Month

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Make It, Take It Projects are workshops where participants make different art projects taught by various instructors. Some projects are seasonal and holiday-related, which makes them great as unique gifts. Projects are completed within the class time, so you will go away with your homemade creations!

JANUARY 21 : Charcuterie Board Make a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board that is sure to impress.

FEBRUARY 18 : Mandala Designed Tealights Paint with Mandala dots to design on the outside of a ceramic tealight.

MARCH 18 : Moss Art Wall Hanging Using a variety of moss, pressed ferns, and natural materials, create a stunning framed moss masterpiece.

APRIL 22 : Derby Hat Bar Select from a wide variety of decorative items to make a designer brimmed hat fit for The Kentucky Derby.

MAY 20 : Desert Garden Design a succulent desert landscape arranged in a terracotta clay bowl.

JUNE 16 : Alcohol Ink Coasters Decorate ceramic tiles using alcohol inks. Each person will make 4 coasters.

Class Cancellations & Weather Closings

Don't wait to register! Classes may be cancelled to low registration or fill up before you have a chance to register. Class cancellations due to weather will be made one hour prior to class start times and will be listed on the homepage of the ArtsConnect website at www.theartsconnect.us. To verify any weather closings, call 513-522-2108. In most instances, classes cancelled by weather will be made up by adding an additional class to the end of the session.

Due to costs incurred planning for art classes, full refunds will only be issued when the ArtsConnect cancels the class. Class cancellations made within 10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $5 administration fee per student or transfer to a new session.
